Cognizant Technology Solutions for Macy’s Supply Chain

Performance &
Automation Engineer

  • Develop and maintain custom k6 testing frameworks deployed to validate Macy’s mission-critical Unified Orders Platform handling order creation, returns, and refunds.
  • Designed and engineered an internal self-service developer tool within GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automating test execution workflows and dynamic report generation for engineering teams.
  • Developed a Python automation tool to parse raw performance logs and generate structured analytics reports, eliminating 3 to 4 hours of manual developer effort per release cycle.
  • Analyze distributed system behavior and microservice health under high-stress conditions (3,000 TPS) using GCP container logs, Grafana, and Dynatrace to isolate architectural and database bottlenecks.

A local-first subscription tracker built to make state feel immediate.

  • Built a polished, local-first cross-platform mobile application using TypeScript and Expo v54 with the New Architecture fully enabled.
  • Implemented high-performance local storage with MMKV via C++ JavaScript Interface (JSI) bindings, bypassing standard asynchronous overhead for near-instant state operations.
  • Enforced end-to-end type safety and strict data sanitization across database read/write actions with Zod schema validations.
  • Designed smooth interactive interfaces using React Native Reanimated, NativeWind layouts, and accessible Radix UI primitives.

Koda

A web application for decoding audio streams, BPM, and musical keys.

  • Architected a multi-service web application designed to decode audio streams, calculate BPM, and identify musical keys.
  • Developed a low-overhead Go backend with Gin Gonic and custom Krumhansl–Schmuckler key-detection algorithms via Gonum for FFT math and chroma mapping.
  • Orchestrated deployment workflows using Docker and Docker Compose, integrating FFmpeg codecs for seamless server-side audio conversions.
